Welcome to Day 2 of the CSFF Blog Tour!
Something I neglected to do yesterday was post a link to the adorable Landon Snow site. It’s the place to go for samples of the excellent artwork, a brief intro to the characters, and more information on the author and his stories.
And thanks to Randy for his comment yesterday! It’s been a couple of years, with quite a bit of water under the bridge, but I’m thinking now, after his comment, that it was Jenny Baumgardner’s table we sat at together (the day she didn’t make it?), and since I was freshly out of my appointment with Shannon Hill of Barbour, I’d passed Randy the tip that Shannon was looking for YA-ish fantasy. (Does that sound right to you, Randy??) I was thrilled later to hear that the conference had yielded the contact that led to these stories being contracted.
Randy just recently moved to North Dakota, where he’s busy pastoring a church, raising two little ones, and expecting a new baby. Actually, I think it’s his wife that’s expecting the baby, but we’ll give Randy some of the credit. 😉

Good job both days, Shannon. I gotta say, I’m surprised you haven’t read books 2 and 3. With all your little kiddos I’d think you’d be grabbing at any good bedtime stories. 😉 And without a doubt there is marked plot improvement the further you go in the series.
I’m doing my full review tomorrow.
Speaking of review, I love what you wrote for your homeschool newsletter. You really hit the key components of the story.
Love the personal touch you put on your posts.

Your memory’s good, Shannon. I think I’ll just say, “Sure” and “Yeah” to your comments that it was Miss Jenny’s table and you’d just returned from your appt. with Shannon Hill. I do remember that you were pregnant. 🙂 And that you are very nice and a writer of fantasy. Thanks again for the posts. Yes, the plots improve. Book 3 I like the best. Book 4 I wrote during the busiest summer of my life…this past one. It’s got some cool stuff in it though, I think. Blessings to you!

Ya know, weirdest thing–I’m signed up to promote his book, and yet NOT a part of this tour. *sigh* How sad is that?? LOL Oh, well. I love Randy’s books. There’s such an almost mystical quality to them–enchanting and beguiling. 😀
