I was so excited when I saw this on facebook. I've gotten to meet some great authors on facebook!! My favorite Christmas memory is my parents cooking breakfast on early Christmas mornings (around 3 am) as their 5 kids played with toys in the living room. We only built a fire once a year on Christmas and we only played in the living room once a year. Such great memories. Now, my parents are in their late 80's, but we still talk about these special times. Hope to win!! Thanks!

My favorite memories were waking up about 3 am (probably minutes after my parents finally went to bed) and tiptoeing down the hallway to the living room to see if Santa had left us presents. After seeing the mound of presents we would run to wake up our parents so we could open out gifts. What special memories those are.

Another early riser! LOL, a lot of us did that, I suspect … my mom later instituted the rule that it had to be at least 6, and dad had to have his coffee! 🙂 Thank you for posting, Angie! Very nice to "meet" new people.
My favorite memories were when I was little and my mom got the gifts ready and during that time my dad took me sledding and it was a time that we had together.

My favorite memories are coming down the stairs on Christmas morning and seeing all the presents.
At 13 I was sent to a catholic home for girls and my first Christmas there was great. We were 4 girls to a room in a group of 20, so at Christmas they would give us each 5 gifts, the tree was so large and all those gifts under it, to me were amazing. I was an only child and had never seen so many gifts.
One of my favorite Christmas memories is of my surprise 16th birthday party – with all my friends present. We played 45's & simple games, ate birthday cake & snacks, opened gifts, & talked & laughed. Tame – by today's standards, kind of dates me too – doesn't it?
Since my birthday is on Dec. 25th, it usually got lost in the shuffle – because of the holiday activities & gifts. This is the time that I can remember having an actual birthday party.

So many happy memories, it's hard to pick out any one! We weren't rich, but we certainly had great times together! After Pop got a movie camera, we all got new Christmas pj's on Christmas Eve so we'd all match on Christmas morning!!
